Tin House at Tanunda was a great place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tin House at Tanunda. We were very impressed with everything particularly the supplies of eggs & bacon, etc., for breakfast and the little extras like a bottle of wine and decanter of Port. The purpose of our stay was to attend the Under 18 National Basketball Championships at Starplex Stadium in Evanston Park, Gawler and watch our Grandson play for Victoria Metro, who won the Gold Medal. As we only attended the basketball for one game each day we visited several wineries in the Barossa Valley and bought some of the great wine available. We have been to the Barossa many times over the past 43 years and have always enjoyed our visits but this was the first time we stayed there. My wife, son and I shared the house.

The only thing I suggest would be an improvment would be a small freezer to make ice cubes and freeze ice bricks for travelling. I found the refrigerator not suitable for that although it did look great.

Tanunda is a great place to visit or stay for the wine lover with such a large number ot wineries to visit. Also the Bakeries are superb. We enjoyed the meals at The Tanunda Hotel, the Valley Hotel, the Tanunda Bakery; also the sandwiches and cakes at the Fine Foods Restaurant.
