Amazing Accommodation

Barossa Bluestone B&B was truely the best B&B we have stayed in world wide!! The atmoshpere when we walked in for the first time with the water fountains bubbling away and the soft music playing made us feel so welcome. Everything was available for our every need incuding the spa, hmmmm so nice and restful. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable, a home away from home. This definitely is a B&B we would highly recommend to friends.

I'd give it 10 stars not just 5.

Brilliant accommodation

Enjoyed it immensely. Very impressed that they had cutlery for babies. Look forward to returning in the near future.

Had a fabulous lunch at Murdochs winery with friends, and of course restocked the cellar with more of your fabulous wines.

Lovely home away from home

Quaint outside and surprisingly modern inside, the Barossa Best was a clean roomy home right in the middle of Tanunda. Would recommend Barossa Best to anyone wanting more than the standard level of accommodation in a regional area.

All of the Barossa was beautiful - we only stayed one weekend and managed to cover a fair few wineries. The cheese shop in Angaston is a must and we can recommend 1918 for dinner - on the pricey side but the meals were stunning, the restaurant itself was beautiful and the service accommodating and friendly.

Barossa Motor Lodge. Reviewed: July 2009. #2276

This was a very good 3/4 star motel with everything anyone needs for an overnight stay. The proprietor and his wife did everything to make us feel welcome including openening up the dining room early so that we could attend a function.

The food was reasonable priced and plentiful and personally cooked as you wait.

This apartment is a great palce to stay

The apartment was centrally located in the main street of Tununda which was handy for walking to shops & restaurants.

The apartment was extremely comfortable with top of the line appliances and accessories down to the heated floor in the bathrooms & heated towel racks, warm, cosy & inviting. Would stay there again.

Tanunda is the gateway to the Braossa so there is heaps to do, wineries, restaurants & art galleries plus walks.

Good points: lovely stone cottage, beautiful property. Excellent location for easy access to Tanunda on foot and as a base for exploring the Barossa region by car. Off street parking. Lovely corner spa and separate shower. Not so good points: as the building is old this place is cold and there were no extra blankets nor was any firewood provided for the lovely open fire (although there is a heather in the bedroom but this does not warm the living room).

A box was provided for used cutlery/crockery if required to be washed up/replaced however this box was never collected so sat outside for 3 days accumulating dirty dishes. The toaster was broken. Coffee/tea/sugar sachets were provided but no milk. There were no extra toilet rolls. As the property is on the main road it can be a little noisy from the traffic (we stayed in the suite at the front of the house, right on the main street).

Tanunda is a great place to stay and the pertect place from which to explore the Barossa region. Try the Tanunda Bakery for some great fresh breads, pies and cakes. The Tanunda Hotel does a good evening meal. Schultz butcher in Angaston is a great place for fresh produce (try the bratwurst - really good). Stop by the tourist information centre for info on nearby wineries (there are loads) and ask about a cellar door pass.

Maggie Beer's farmshop is definitely worth a visit (time your visit to catch the free cooking demo at 2pm each day).
